- Do I need an account?
- No. You get a number of free pages straight away, and a few more each day after that. There is nothing to sign up for.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing today. There is no payment, no credit card and no subscription. Usage is limited per visitor so the service stays available.
- Which languages are supported?
- Japanese pages can be translated into English, Spanish, Portuguese or French. English is the language we measure quality against; the other three are marked Beta. Korean and Chinese source pages are not supported yet.
- What file formats can I upload?
- JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC, up to 10 MB and 16 megapixels, with a longest edge of 6000 pixels and an aspect ratio no more extreme than 4:1. PDF, EPUB, CBZ and ZIP are not supported.
- How long do you keep my images?
- Your uploaded page, the translated image and all extracted text are deleted 24 hours after upload. You can also delete a translation yourself as soon as it finishes.
- Are sound effects translated?
- No. Hand-drawn sound effects are part of the artwork, and replacing them convincingly is closer to redrawing than to typesetting. We leave them as they are and flag them on the result.
- Why was part of my page left untranslated?
- Sound effects are left as they are on purpose — they are drawn into the artwork, and removing them would damage the page. That is standard practice in manga translation, and it is not flagged as a problem. Separately, when text sits over detailed artwork, or a translation cannot fit the bubble at a readable size, we keep the original rather than damage the art or shrink the text past legibility. Those areas are listed as warnings on the result.
- Can I translate a whole chapter?
- Not yet. Today the tool handles one page at a time. Multi-page and chapter workflow is the next thing being built.
- How accurate is it?
- The whole page is translated in one pass, so dialogue keeps its context and names and honorifics stay consistent. It is a reading aid, not a publication-ready translation, and it will contain errors.
- Can I use this for manga I don't own?
- You are asked to confirm that you have the right to process the image you upload. We do not host, publish or index uploaded pages, and everything is deleted within 24 hours.
